Captain Ian Beaumont.

With almost a decade of experience running boats and with many of those years aboard the Bahama Star, Captain Ian has the know-how to make every experience on board a great one. He holds a 100 Ton USCG Captains license with Sailing Auxiliary and Towing endorsements, an American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED/ First Aid Instructor, and WMA Certified Wilderness First Responder. He has lived and worked in the Bahamas for almost ten years, with several interim years spent running charter on the Chesapeake Bay. From sailing the east coast of the United States to plaguing the waters of the Bahamas, Captain Ian knows it all like the back of his hand!

Captain Nancy Shipley.

They say a captain is only as good as his crew… which is why when Captain Ian found Captain Nancy living on an island in the Bahamas.. he knew he needed her on his crew! With four years experience as the first mate and then co-captain, and years of life experience from living in the Bahamas, Captain Nancy can really show you the ropes! She holds a 50 Ton USCG Captains license with Sailing Auxiliary, is an EMT, American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED/ First Aid Instructor, and WMA Certified Wilderness First Responder. Whether it’s a medical question or a sailing one, Captain Nancy has the answer!

Chef Nick.

Senior Deckhand and Galley Extraordinaire Chef Nick swam out to the boat in the middle of the night long ago and decided to make the Crew’s Quarters his home. He holds a Senior Deckhand qualification, an American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED/ First Aid Instructor, and has years of experience in a kitchen/galley. Whether it’s Frog Mortar Creek Chili or Duck Confit, Chef Nick makes magic in the galley of the Bahama Star! His skills on deck leave nothing to be desired either! Need a knot tied? Chef Nick is your guy! Pictured in his anchor hauling pants, Chef Nick knows better than anyone how to get things done!
