Design.
The Bahama Star was built exactly for what she is… to be a charter boat in the Bahamas! Designed with a shallow draft and full keel that allows her to explore coves and channels that other sailboats her size could never get into, she makes for the perfect adventure boat! The forward cabin is made up of seven cabins, five guest cabins, the captains’ quarters, and the crew’s quarters that contain a total of 26 bunks! The aft section of the boat is a large galley with sit around table and plenty of counter space! See our ‘Galley’ and ‘Cabins’ sections below for more information!
Sailing.
The Bahama Star is a sloop rigged sailboat with a mainsail and a foresail, or jib. Pictured above, our jib is the multicolored sail that attaches to our forestay and gives the boat a lot of power in lighter winds. We have a “storm jib” which is a stronger and smaller all-white version of that sail (not pictured) that we raise in heavier winds. Our all-white mainsail attaches to her single mast and is raised over the center of the boat (cockpit). Despite her size, the Bahama Star is an excellent sailer even in light winds!

The Galley.
The Bahama Star Galley is a great open space for cooking, eating, game playing and more! With wrap around port lights, it’s always bright! A large wrap around table boasts a Galley Garden on its back bench where we grow fresh herbs for cooking! A four burner stove and two rack oven make up our cooking area, surrounded by plenty of counter space! Our counters are new Corian countertops that have recessed freezer and refrigerator space. Our large farm-style sink can handle any size group’s dishes with ease! An ice maker keeps up with keeping your drink cold even on the hottest days!
